How to fall asleep...or not - 9:06 a.m.
I don't fall asleep easily.
I've tried counting. All this did was make me play number games with every number that I encountered because of my nerdy nature.
I've tried prayer because I'm a Christian and praying right before bed sounds like a nice way to end the day. However, when I pray at night (or, to be more specific, when I pray silently), my prayers go in all sorts of wild directions that I never thought possible.
I've tried classical music. Of course, the effect of this could be dampered by my multitasking. I can't sit there and do nothing!
I've tried reading. The characters continue their acting in my pursuit of sleep.
I've tried writing for the last few nights before going to bed. Good idea, right?
Wrong. Writing has actually made my muse MORE active than usual. Unfortunately, I don't have a nightstand next to my bed, and my body is already tired, so I don't want to get up and record my nightly musings on paper. Why can't there be a tape recorder for the mind?
To Do:
1. Thank-you notes
2. French
3. Er...
