Sunburn is painful - 10:05 a.m.
J-fest on Saturday was fun, except for one tiny thing.
Guess which idiot forgot to put on sunscreen for an outdoor concert?
Yes, that would be Sujin idiot. See, I normally tan. However, I forgot that all my medications send out warnings like, "Stay out of the sun" because I'm normally not in the sun anyway. Besides, I was extremely busy that morning while going to the bank, eating breakfast, and rereading Little Women.
When I came home, I was shocked. I was red. Even though I'm fairly tan for most of the year anyway (well, except where my clothes cover me), the tan on my face and arms was replaced by a red. I put a lotion in the refrigerator as soon as I got home and hopped in the shower because I had been outside all afternoon. The lotion felt so good!
Sunday was worse, though. Every time I went outside, the sun would increase its eight-minute-old rays just to torture me. You would think it would teach me to wear sunblock (which, for some reason, Grand-mère calls "suntan lotion").
No, I take that back. Today is the worst. Washing my face is torture because I can hardly touch it without grimacing. Strangely enough, my arms feel a lot better, but my face feels terrible. That's a shame.
Looks like I'll be staying in this week.
To Do:
1. Eliminate sunburn!
2. Thank-you notes! (50 and counting...sigh)
3. Stay in as an attempt to avoid the sun
