Archiving entries - 12:57 p.m.
There! I finished archiving my entries. For the most part, the "three-month" theme is a happy medium between six months and every month. [I wrote only one entry in March 2004!] However, I begin to write fewer entries when school takes over, but that is to be expected. Of course, it could also be a subconscious thing because I don't want to archive these things as often. Hey, archiving these piles of entries is hard work, especially when you have as many entries as I do.
And yes, I know there aren't even ten entries in the newest archive pile, but I created that so I could be lazy and not archive for a few more months. I did that last time too and didn't archive for almost a year. Looking at that extremely gangly list of ten months' entries told me, "Sujin, you need to start archiving. I don't care what anyone else says."
Archiving in itself can be quite a relieving activity. You sit there and click buttons into oblivion. Even though it is rather monotonous work and it is something I would make Marvin do [let's put that planet-sized brain to work], it's almost enjoyable. I add up the months, divide them out, and determine how many archive pages I need. Then I have to drag out all my entries because the "archive older entries" page normally shows only the entries that haven't been archived. It's like brushing the dust off all those trinkets. I found entries I never knew I had written. So just as I normally do when I clean, I stopped and read a few of them. [Don't worry--I didn't read all of them!] They were quite amusing, and I saw a side of myself I had written down, then pushed aside. Heh.
To Do:
See last entry...wow. Two entries in one day. I'm proud of myself.
