April showers of schoolwork - 2:26 p.m.
Happy (early) birthday, Dee!
Edit to last entry: (4/3)pi*r^2 should read (4/3)pi*r^3. Just to let you know. I actually wrote an entire entry about this in Fane, but I'm too lazy to do that now. Besides, by the time I had noticed, someone had already commented, and editing it would feel 1984-esque.
It showers in April, all right--in schoolwork! I learned that since doing this PSo thing. I had easy (well, easier) last semester, but this time, everyone wants things in April. It gives new meaning to the "April showers bring May flowers" adage. I'm almost halfway finished. Well, sort of. Since Dra. Mason assigned another project today, that means I have another thing or seven to do before finals begin. On the bright side, though, I did cross two of those papers off my list by turning them in.
Dr. Veve gave us another week on the Origins of the Second World War paper. This is good and bad. It's good because I've already started writing it. (Yes, I did finish the book. Yes, I enjoyed it, even though it did make a good bedtime story.) It's bad because I'll be writing it while researching for my English paper, and I intentionally scheduled my English conference after I turned in that paper. It's also bad because I'll basically be writing a page a day until it's due.
But back to April Showers. I think this is one reason why teachers give so much schoolwork in April. After all, if it's so dreary outside, you might not be outside, right? [Unless, of course, you're like me and you enjoy being outside just after it rains.] This is one reason why Nanowrimo is in November, and the teachers take advantage of that time as well.
Besides, it's nice to work to rain. Maybe the theory is that you'll start to work to the rhythm after awhile and you'll eventually start working productively.
Right.
