Squid jerky and a perfect score - 3:28 p.m.

Well, here I am. DeAnna and I are at the library writing in our Tales. (Dee-Tale and Sushi's Tail, respectively.) And DeAnna the pervert here is telling me that it doesn't sound right. Okay, so I know that. But if you think about the logic behind all this, it makes sense. It isn't my fault our diary names have the word Tail or some variation therein.

There was something I was going to write about, but I forgot what it was. Oh yes. Mom called me out to the kitchen this afternoon while I was playing Solitaire out of innocent boredom. I asked her what it was. She reached into the freezer and pulled out something. It was an octopus. "I couldn't remember if it was octopus or squid that you had that thing for, but they're almost the same thing, right?"

"Yeah," I said. "And really, Squidward is more of an octopus than a squid, so there we go. Octopus have eight legs. Squid has ten."

She said she was going to cook it for me and let me see how it tastes. I told her about yesterday.

When Polly, Bat, and I went to CVS, we saw some beef jerky. As you may already know, I can't stand beef jerky. Polly chose that moment to tell us that they had squid jerky in Korea. "No, no, Polly," I said. "They have squid jerky in America, too." And really, we do. We just have squid jerk and not jerky.

That's like in the episode of Spongebob where he and Patrick order a big-screen TV just for the box. Squidward asks for and gets the TV, and while he's sitting there watching TV, he can hear Spongebob and Patrick using their imaginations in the box. Squid wonders how on earth they're making the sounds. He pictures a tape player playing the sounds, and he pictures Spongebob whispering, "Squidward's such a jerk" to Patrick while they're playing the sounds.

Isn't that ever so ironic? I mean, just thinking about it. Life is simply irony. That's just too true. (Yay, I finally have a semi-profound thought to pass down to generations in the future!) They always say that art imitates life. It is too true. Everything out there is some sort of mock version of life. Life is the only true version of itself.

On a totally different tangent...I got my Sweet-View today. Yay, a perfect score! Go Spongey! Go Spongey! Go self! That makes me feel sooooooo good inside, considering I was just feeling okay this morning. And a special thanks to Christie for the review! Merci beaucoup!

Well, that's it for me. I'm going to D-L hop for awhile.
